On A Personal Note
MEET MARMALADE
He arrived at my doorstep as a curious five-month-old feral kitten, but a little tuna fish quickly coaxed him inside—and he’s been by my side ever since. Today, he functions as the official studio chair warmer, supervisor of the entire outdoor space, and my ultimate studio companion. Whether he’s sneaking in a quick nap at my desk or inspecting a freshly cut stem, his steady presence is a constant reminder to slow down, enjoy the process, and trust the journey - just like he did.
LIVING UP TO MY NAME
It all begins in the soil. Watching a tiny seed work its way up to become a vibrant, full bloom is where my inspiration takes root. I paint exclusively in acrylics on paper, capturing that exact life force. What started as a pure, over-enthusiastic obsession with my very first Zinnia blooms has grown into a living reference library right outside my back door. For me, gardening and painting are entirely intertwined—both require a lot of patience, a comfort with the unknown, and a willingness to let things mature beautifully on their own time. It is a daily invitation to share in that homegrown abundance and experience pure Joy.
